Art with Impact: Apprenticing in Public Art & Community Design Program Schedule: Jan. 9-March 6 This class will meet weekly from 3-4 p.m. on Fridays  Recommended Ages: 6th -12th Grades Cost: $108 (members), $135 (nonmembers) This unique apprenticeship program offers middle school and high school students the opportunity to work alongside professional artists to design and create public art projects that make a lasting impact. Through hands-on experiences, students will explore mural-making, sculpture, installation art and other large-scale mediums, learning not only technical skills but also how art can tell stories, build identity and transform shared spaces. Apprentices will participate in every stage of the creative process, from concept development and community engagement to final installation. This is a chance to collaborate, lead and leave a creative mark on the community through the power of public art.  Meet the instructors: Arts Partners Arts Partners, part of the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning network, connects schools with local artists and cultural organizations to integrate visual and performing arts into PreK-12 education. Through performances, workshops, residencies and professional development, the program enhances classroom learning and supports arts-integrated curriculum design. By using the arts as a teaching tool, Arts Partners fosters creativity, self-expression, problem-solving and a lifelong love of learning.
