What is PPE Fest? Students are better when they understand the world around them beyond the classroom. Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) all contribute to students being mindful of the many things that effect decisions. PPEfest is fun afternoon that introduces how you can stand out in the real world with critical thinking.Learners will dive into PPE through...Game Theory: Students will engage in strategic thinking through interactive game play.Philosophy Challenges: Students will think through morally challenging situations. Economic Freedoms: Why are some countries rich and others poor? Students will analyze evidence from around the world.Ages: This program is recommended for Junior and Senior High School level learners Participation Incentives!This educational event, presented by the Gwartney Institute, offers participating students a $500 scholarship for Ottawa University and a $50 honorarium the day of the event.After the event, students need to send proof for reimbursement. Email your travel route (using Google Maps, MapQuest, etc.) to peter.jacobsen@ottawa.edu if you're driving. You'll get reimbursed at $0.50 per mile, up to $100. After receiving your reimbursement email request, we will send you a form to receive your check. To reserve your spot, a $20 deposit is required. Upon completion of the event, the $20 deposit and $50 honorarium will be paid in cash!This program is hosted in partnership with Ottawa University!
