Youth Mindset Labs: Confidence, Kindness & Creative Challenges Program Schedule: Aug. 21-Oct. 9 This class will meet weekly on Fridays from 10-11 a.m. Recommended Ages: K-5th grades Cost: $90 (Members), $100 (Nonmembers) Youth Mindset Labs is an engaging, hands-on social-emotional learning experience designed to help young learners strengthen their inner world while building skills they can use every day. Through interactive activities, storytelling, creative challenges, teamwork and guided reflection, students develop emotional awareness, confidence, resilience, kindness and problem-solving skills in a way that feels natural, playful and empowering. This session offers a fresh version of Youth Mindset Labs with new weekly themes, activities and creative challenges. Returning students will have opportunities to deepen and apply familiar mindset skills in new ways, while new students can jump right in with no prior participation required. In this round, students will explore confidence, communication, friendship, perspective-taking, frustration tolerance and thoughtful decision-making through fun, interactive weekly labs. Activities may include team challenges, spy-inspired problem-solving, storytelling and perspective activities, Rube Goldberg-style teamwork challenges, a mini podcast-style confidence lab, kindness practice, choices-and-consequences activities and a final celebration or showcase. Each week centers on a youth-friendly mindset theme and invites students to practice naming emotions, navigating challenges, listening to others, solving problems, and making thoughtful choices in real-life situations at home, in friendships, and at school. Learning is active, relational and developmentally appropriate, honoring where children are while gently stretching their capacity for self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, communication and confident self-expression. Each session includes: A warm welcome and emotional check-in. Introduction of the weekly mindset theme through a story, visual, question, or challenge. A hands-on activity or game to practice the skill. Creative reflection through drawing, writing, movement, discussion or sharing. A simple take-home extension, mini challenge or tool to reinforce learning.
