Through a blend of fitness and nutrition education, students will explore how the choices they make each day impact their energy, growth and overall well being. In this class, students will: Learn the basics of nutrition, including how to make balanced food choices and understand what their bodies need to thrive. Plan and prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks they can recreate at home. Participate in a variety of workouts, games, and stretching routines that promote strength, flexibility, and endurance. Develop practical habits and routines that support lifelong wellness. Fit and Fueled emphasizes real-world application, empowering students to take what they learn beyond the classroom Meet the program instructor: Alejandra Pizarro-Rommann Alejandra is a dedicated and passionate Spanish teacher with 25 years of experience fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture. She has taught students from diverse backgrounds and skill levels, most recently at Wichita Collegiate School and Wichita Montessori School, designing engaging courses for grades 1–7. Alejandra integrates technology, multimedia resources, and cultural activities into her lesson plans to promote language acquisition and cross-cultural understanding.
