Let’s Pretend Schedule: Jan. 24, Feb. 28, March 28 This program will meet from 9-10 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month. Recommended Ages: 3-5 years old Cost: $20 (members), $25 (nonmembers) Children will be engaged in a highly interactive workshop that includes stories, imaginative play, music, finger-play and whole-body movement. Activities are designed to encourage emerging literacy. Adults are encouraged to join the children for warm-up and cool-down activities. Participants can expect to: Develop socialization skills. Encourage language, vocabulary and literacy development. Promote vocalization and motor skills. Stimulate a sense of discovery Arts Partners is home to Kansas Wolf Trap, a regional site of Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, which provides arts-based teaching strategies and services to early childhood teachers, caregivers, parents and their children ages 0-5. Meet the instructors: Arts Partners Arts Partners, part of the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning network, connects schools with local artists and cultural organizations to integrate visual and performing arts into PreK–12 education. Through performances, workshops, residencies, and professional development, the program enhances classroom learning and supports arts-integrated curriculum design. By using the arts as a teaching tool, Arts Partners fosters creativity, self-expression, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.
