Students in this class will learn about the history and traditions of Holi, also known as the "Festival of Colors," including learning why this holiday and festival are an important part of Hindu culture. We will read stories about Holi, write and draw, learn new vocabulary, explore color theory, and more. The class will conclude with the Holi tradition of throwing colored powder (so wear clothes that can get messy!)This class is non-sectarian and will discuss religion from the perspective of history and social science.
