As students create characters, solve puzzles, and work with their peers, they’ll build valuable life skills, including:Collaboration & Communication – learning to listen, share ideas, and strategize as a team.Creative Problem-Solving – thinking outside the box to overcome obstacles and craft unique solutions.Critical Thinking – analyzing situations, weighing choices, and anticipating outcomes.Empathy & Perspective-Taking – stepping into the shoes of a character and understanding different points of view.Confidence & Leadership – finding their voice, making decisions, and guiding a group through challenges.Whether students are seasoned adventurers or brand-new explorers, this program offers a safe, welcoming space for fun, connection, and growth. Meet the Club Leader: Mike TaylorMike has been teaching kids in Wichita since 1990 and has been playing games for almost 60 years. In the early 80s Mike was introduced to the world of table top role-playing games. Since then he has had the opportunity to run RPG classes at Robinson MS, club sessions through Wichita Montessori, and is even occasionally able to use RPG elements in the elementary classroom. Mike is looking forward to a new group of adventurers with his after-school club this year.
