Prototype Lab Program Schedule: Aug. 21-Oct. 9 This class will meet weekly on Fridays from 10 -11 a.m. Recommended Ages: 3rd-8th grades Cost: $125 (Members), $150 (Nonmembers)  Prototype Lab is a nine-week, hands-on innovation experience designed for students who love to create, experiment and solve real-world problems. Hosted in the MakerSpace, this stand-alone program guides participants through the full design process as they brainstorm ideas, test solutions, refine concepts and develop an original product or prototype from start to finish. Through collaborative projects and hands-on learning, students strengthen creativity, critical thinking, resilience and problem-solving skills while learning to think like inventors, designers, and entrepreneurs. By the end of the program, each participant will leave with a completed prototype that reflects their ideas, growth and innovation journey. Meet the program instructor: Leah Ellis  Leah Ellis is an educator, nonprofit leader and entrepreneur dedicated to empowering youth through creativity, financial literacy and real-world experience. As founder and executive director of The Society of Child Entrepreneurs (SoCE), Leah helps students, ages 6-17, turn ideas into businesses, develop leadership skills and gain lifelong entrepreneurial and emotional intelligence skills. Leah created “Ignite. Empower. Lead.,” a 36-week curriculum integrating storytelling, hands-on learning and national standards. Her children’s book series, “Astra & Zeke,” introduces business concepts through engaging narratives.
